Answer #1

Technology related concern:

Technology has been a boon to the society in many ways but it also has affected the society in a negative way. It is normal everything in the world has an uglier side to it. But, we as humans must always stick to positive sides and make use of them to help the world evolve into a better one.

  1. Technology has majorly affected the social life of humans. It claims to increase the social life of humans by giving us websites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. but are they actually increasing our social presence. The answer to it is "No" as in these websites we talk to people whom we don't know from face-to-face relations.
  2. There are been claims that 23% of people on social media are fake or are having different identities from which they claim to be on social media. Are we growing social in such kind of conditions and this is not fair to society? Yes, it helps us to know news faster than anything but 37% of the news on social media is also fake.
  3. Now, talking about the family after social media no one is connecting as they were connecting on the individual level. The use of video-calls, phone-calls, social media has increased due to which the concept of the nuclear family has been on fire. There are very few joint families living together. According to a study, there are only 7% of families that are currently living as joint families.
  4. Use of technologies in schools has also made children dumb as they are spoon-fed everything there. The whole point of research and development has been spooked out as everything now is just a few clicks away. The use of laptops, mobile phones, etc. has also made individuals dumb.
  5. There are individuals who earn from websites like Youtube, Tik-Tok, etc. Some of them make educational videos that are useful. But half of the youth is pranking, giving entertainment more space, etc. People have lost faith in pursuing higher studies as they are earning from it a lot.

Hence, these are some of the negative aspects of the technology that needs to be given a thing by everyone and we must not misuse the technology as it will only leave destruction in our way.

What can a system analyst do?

  • So, when looking at such impacts or negative aspects of technology what a system analyst can do is analyze the aspects and work on building an alternative for this negative aspect to the positive ones. If we have to elaborate it I would like to take the above example and explain what I mean by this.
  • Suppose, if we are to talk about the fifth point in the above article what a system analyst can do is redesign the concept on which the application is working till now; to encourage people to start creating useful and informational content we can offer them certain advantages by creating such contents. As most of the platform do nowadays, they run specific contests in order to promote brands, etc.
  • In a similar way they can also present the same things to the user so that the platform is being accessed by more people which will be better for both the company as well as the audience. Hence, getting things done effectively is what system analysts do.

Hence, these are some of the technology-related concerns and how a system analyst can handle them by redesigning the objectives of the system.
