Explain why recrystallization is an effcetive way of removing impurities
It works when proper solvent is used. The principle behind the recrystallzation is that the amount of solute that can be dissolved by a solvent with increasing temparature.in recrystallisation,a solution is created by dissolving solute in a solvent at or near its boiling point.at this high temparature the solute has greatly increased solubility 8n the solvent so a much smaller quantity of hot solvent is needed than when the solvent is at high temparature .when the solution is later cooled after filterin out insolubility impurities the amount of solute that remains dissolved drops precipitiously
