Hello I am doing a Chemistry Lab and I do not understand this lab.

I have to watch this video

Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qlHHPCkCKE&feature=youtu.be *Only 1 minute long

Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XeWFX3fnTI&feature=youtu.be * Only 2 minute long

Can someone help me answer these questions with the sub questions? I am confused. And explain please

--How does the slope change with time for a given species?

--Is the slope the same for all species?

--What is the sign of the slope for the reactants?

--What is the sign of the slope for the product?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The videos show the inversion vs the cost in other terms. This means that as A+B are mixed in order to produce C

A+B are going to decrease their concentration and C is going to increase its concentration.

A. the slope is nothe the same for all species. As the slope of A and B decrease, the C slope increase.

B. the sign of the slope for reactants is negative, which means they are decreasing but after a time they become constants.

C. the sign of the slope of the products is positive which means in increasing its concentration but after a time it becomes constant.

Hello I have a question about organic chemistry 1 lab. When doing chemical tests the Br2 in CCl4. Shows a positive result for alkenes and alkynes? And negative test results mean a alkene and/or arene? I’m told in lab that we do not have potassium permanganate so we cannot use it. The second test that were told to preform if nothing else is shown on the IR is a halide test. I hope this makes sense. I’m just confused about...

HI i am having trouble with my post lab report. It involved Delta H, specific heat and other things i am having trouble calculating. I have uploaded the images onto a google document https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VQi5tjHzD-mmVQqBvdczQdkBRWSPpV7N5vY2xlL_Gmw/edit?usp=sharing I AM ONLY ASKING YOU TO complete the questions on PAGE 4 of the google doc. I am working on a chemistry lab which involved recrystallization of Kw[Fex(C204)y(H20)z] (unknown ratios are a part of the rest of the lab) and was wondering about a few of these questions: 1) Another way to obtain crystals is to add 95% ethanol to an aqueous solution contains Kw[Fex(C204)y(H20)z]. Explain the chemical principle is being used in this crystallization technique. 2) If green crystals of the compound do not form, another technique that can be attempted is to reduce the...

I'm doing a chemistry lab, where I have to determine the molar mass of an unknown after finding the vapor density. So basically, I have to put 3 test-tubes in a hot water bath, after measuring their volume, and mass the test tube + condensed unknown. So, if, hypothetically, there was some unknown liquid left in the test tube when we were massing the test tube after we heated them, how would the experimental molar mass change? Would it increase...
