For the equation 2c8h18g+25o2g->16co2g+18h20g

1. Related to climate are any of these gases prone to being leaked?
2. What does each fuel do to the air
3. How to cut back on co2 emission

Homework Answers

Answer #1

2C8H18(g)+25O2(g) ------>16CO2(g) +18H2O(g)

1. 16 moles of Co2 are produced by combustion of 2 moles of the fuel. CO2 is a green house gas and is primarily responsible for global warming.

2. Each fuel on combustion adds substances to the air which may be hazardous like CO2, NO etc

3. CO2 can be cut back by using other sources of energy that do not produce CO2. Few examples of such soures are ind energy , Solar energy, Nuclear energy, tidal energy etc.
