Balanced equation :- SiO2 + 2 C ------> Si + 2 CO

B) Moles of Si formed = 25.80 mol

From reaction, Number of moles of SiO2 reacted = number of moles of Si formed

So number of moles of SiO2 reacted = 25.80 mol

Molar mass of SiO2 = 60.08 g/mol

Mass of SiO2 needed = 60.08 g/mol * 25.80 mol = 1550 g

From Reaction, Moles of C needed = 2 * moles of Si formed = 2 * 25.80 mol = 51.60 mol

Atomic weight of C = 12 g/mol

Mass of C needed = 12 g/mol * 51.60 mol = 619.20 g

C) From reaction, moles of CO formed = 2 * moles of Si formed = 2 * 25.80 mol = 51.60 mol

Molar mass of CO = 28 g/mol

Mass of CO produced = 28 g/mol * 51.60 mol = 1444.80 g
