what do bobtail squids and bacteria have in common? And How can this knowledge be applied to the medical field?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The bacteria and bobtail squid lives in symbiotic relationship cause of bacteria there is production of light from squid making it more survivable against it's predator and bacteria also gets its required product . This can be applied to medical field for the study of symbiosis and even as for our own body there are some bacteria which live in us as symbiotic and regulated our function too in some areas as the bacteria present in the gut .

Now for future reference as we might see future that if we take the squid genome and mix it with some other organism we might get biolumencese from that new animal as the bacteria will grow and produce light .
