Homework Answers

Answer #1

The Snyder medium incubated uniformly through the molten medium, instead of as a slant because of Oral bacteria causing dental caries are anaerobic.

Snyder medium basically known as B.C.G dextrose agar is used for anaerobic dental caries bacteria which cause of plaque and fermentation. This fermentation occurs in anaerobic condition and for that cause Snyder medium incubated uniformly through the molten medium. Slant is not possible because of its exposed change high in oxigenic environment. Giving a anaerobic condition, Snyder medium is not suitable as a slant condition.
