c. ovivipary

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The selection of species in terms of reproduction can be explained in following manner.

Ovopary - is followed by those animals which lays egg and development of foetus takes place outside the mothers body

Vivipary - the development of young ons takes place inside the body of the mother, lays no egg.

Ovivipary - they have eggs but they are release when the young one are about to hatch out.

in in termed of more survival rate we, can arrange them in following order:-

Vivipary==> Ovivipary=> ovopary

thus, the development of babies inside mother is more favorable during the evolution as the survival in concerned, hence higher animals like mammals have vivipary but reptile, birds, fishes show ovopary.
