The use of home languages spoken by the children in the classroom has been a controversial topic. While, few claim that it may hamper the process of learning English and the child may get used to it.  

The recent research conducted has found that use of the child home language in the careful and strategic manner can infact boost the English language effectiveness in learning and understanding the grammar concepts, vocabulary and build teacher - student and peer relationship in the classroom.

If the teacher is aware of the home language of the student, the teacher can use in explaining certain words . If she is not aware of the language, she can take help from the students who know the language.
