Why the FDA (government) does not restrict even further(or eliminate) the use of additives, colorants, chemicals, or hormones that are linked to (or at least a strong relation cause-effect) the development of some types of cancer?
The FDA does not control or eliminate the harmful drug from the foods because in food they are used in parts per million and their effect on human health cannot be measured or is very difficult to measure in the health or development of cancer. As also the scientific communities find it difficult and not useful to do research and also industrial people who are great part of economy also insist on there usage so its elimination gets difficult.Even if they both will be willing to test the effect of these chemical and hormones in our body but there so small quantities will require numerous clinical trials for many years which will be very expensive and rarely the goverment will invest so much to know the effect of these parts per million used entity.Hence there use remain prevalent.
