Basal Ganglia are subcortical nuclear masses. They develop the basal part of the cerebral hemisphere. Basal ganglia composed of corpus striatum, subthalamic nucleus, substantia nigra. This part of the body execute many important functions, one of them is subconscious regulation of some movements such as swinging of the arm while walking, movements of the limbs while swimming etc. It acts via putamen feedback circuit to execute this regulatory mechanism.
