I calculated the chi square

x² = ((200-227)²)/277 + ((78-92)²)/92 + ((83-92)²)/92 + ((21-32)²)/32 = 3.21+2.13+0.88+3.78=10

How do I find the degress of Freedom, p-value range?

Each of the step in deviation calcualaiton represents the cateogery... say (200-227)2)/277 it repesents one category, (78-92)2)/92 it represents another category, so like this , the total number of categories in this chisquare problem is 4.

So, the Degress of freedom = No of categories - 1,

so the answer is here is = 4 - 1 = 3 and

the standard probability is 0.05,

so the p value at 3 degress of freedom and 0.05 probability is 7.81.
