You drank a glass of Gatorade. One of the molecules of sugar will end up in your leg muscle. Start with the intestinal capillaries, through the circulatory system and end in the femoral artery.

This is all that the professor gave me as a question, I think it is asking for the pathway of the molecule of sugar starting with the intestinal capillaries.

After the absorption of sugar, in the intestine in the form of glucose, it enter the blood stream with the help of specialized transporters called as sodium dependent hexose transporter present in the intestinal cell. Once, glucose is enter the blood stream, it will go to the heart. . From the heart, it will go to to the femoral artery, which is present in the leg and transport sugar to the cells present in the lungs. The cells should have insulin to take up the glucose from the blood stream. Hence, this will be the path of sugar.
