Explanation

H5N1 bird flu viruses are not contagious easily from one person to other. It is not especially lethal to humans but to birds. However, once being spreaded from birds, they are deadly to humans and to other mammals also.

Usually, the influenza viruses emerge from east or southeast Asia every year and become pandemic. Flu viruses keep evolving and vaccines need to be changed every year. It is called antigenic drift.
