Answer #1

Science is used in our daily life to a great extent.

One such example is the cooking in pressure cooker. As we know that at boiling point, the vapour pressure of water is equal to atmospheric pressure. In a pressure cooker, we cover the Mouth of cooker by the lid. So when water boils, the pressure inside the cooker builds up. As the surrounding pressure increases, the boiling point of water also increases.

In this way, the water boils at higher temperature than normal and the food cooks quickly saving the fuel.

This is just one example. We are surrounded by science everywhere.

Pharmacology is one such big brach of science which is very useful in our daily life. The tablets for fever, cough, pain etc which gives us relief from these symptoms are nothing but just a gift of science.

Activity 1: Scientific Reports You may have heard the question “If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” A similar question can be asked about experiments. “If a researcher performs an experiment and never publishes the result has science been performed?” Many people would say no because science is the accumulation of knowledge. If the results of an experiment are not published, knowledge is not gained. The final...

In accounting, intangible assets are written off in...
