Answer #1

1) C. Drag

Drag force is a form of mechanical resistance force generated by the interaction and contact of a solid body with a fluid (liquid or gas).  drag to be generated, the solid body must be in contact with the fluid and relative motion between the two. It acts opposite and parallel to the direction of the oncoming flow velocity.

2) C. Critical velocity

The speed at which laminar flow becomes turbulent is referred to as critical velocity. critical velocity depends on multiple variables like Reynolds number, Diameter of the vessel, viscosity of the fluid and its density which characterizes the flow of the liquid through a tube as either laminar or turbulent.
