light from object will stimulate receptor cells in the "blank" half of each retina.

choices: right or left

Homework Answers

Answer #1

We know about the blind spot. A bundle of ganglionic axons starts from a gap in retina. Thus creating a blank called the blind spot. This is solved by the receptors near the region by filling this gap in the image formation. In case of surface interpolation we can see the surface of something and we can see clearly it's edges. The light from the object is perceived by the blank not directly. But it's the blank that help in the completion of perception. Whenever we view an object the light from it will excite the rods and cones cells which are the receptors of the retina and the impulse transmission from from there only starts from the blank.

An unusual object of mass M is hung from its center of mass by a light wire, of length Lo, to form a physical pendulum with period of oscillation T. The length of the wire is then shortened to half of its original length. Solve for the period of oscillation in the shortened scenario, if the original length and period were Lo = 0.77m and T = 2.3s, respectively. (Reminder: You are expected to solve this algebraically before subbing in...

Select the MOST CORRECT answer. During the cardiac cycle... Blood flows from the right atrium, through the AV valve, and is pumped by the right ventricle into the pulmonary artery. The ventricular diastole occurs at the same time as atrial systole and atrial diastole. The second heart sound (S2, or dup) occurs just as the left ventricle reaches its highest pressure, which exceeds aortic pressure. Both a) and b) are correct and c) is incorrect. a), b) and c) are...
