distress syndrome (ARDS) occurs due to inflammation of lung alveoli
which results in the leakage of more fluid into interstitial space
due tocoronavirus infections
(COVID-19) mediated demage to the epithelium of lungs.
2) During COVID-19
infection, the protective immune response in the affected
person is mostly impaired which results in the massive destruction
of the affected tissues. The destructive tissue cells releases
cytokines mediated by macrophages and granulocytes.
