How do I solve for net income-noncontrolling interest's share?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

non controlling means minority share.

The net income - non controlling interest's share i.e the net income of minority interest is calculate by simplyt multipying NET income by Non controlling interet's share.

lets say if total income is $1000 and non controlling interest's share is 10%, then net income-noncontrolling interest's share will be $1000X10% = $100 . This figure will be shown as "net income attributable to the minority interest." under consolidated income statement as a seperate non operating line item
