Answer #1

Employees often fail to appreciate the true cost of their employment because they are largely unaware of the value of benefits they receive . Failure to understand benefit components and their value is the root cause why employees often fail to appreciate the true cost of their employment. An employees receives a large number of benefits apart from the wages paid to them . The benefits include free health insurance for employee and family members, retirement benefits, funding for children education, company leased transportation and housing etc. The company also incurs cost in providing a safe and secure place for employees to work which many employees fail to recognize. Thus the failure to recognize and understand the benefits is the main reason why employees often fail to appreciate the true cost of employment.
