Endowment fund is a fund created by any foundation for the purpose of withdrawals from invested fund.These are commonly created by noon profit organization like University, school, hospital etc.these funds are used for the operating activity of the organization.

Any trust or non profit organizations are commonly used this endowment funds.these organizations are run for not making profit,but to provide services to society.endowment funds are created using donations,if there are adequate funds for operation,then the society will get benefits from that as they are concentrated on providing services.These funds can be utilized for higher education,medical purpose etc.
