A kindergartner would learn a second language would ease and would quickly become fluent. So why do most schools only start teaching kids a new language when they're teenagers? At that age, most struggle and never get very fluent at it.

As a French Education-French double major, I completely agree with you. Kids should start learning a foreign language as soon as possible, preferably between 1st and 3rd grade.

The earlier you start, the higher the chances of becoming fluent. Also, a child could learn a third language in high school.

Our country is the way that it is because we think that English is the only language that one needs to function well in the world. Sadly, we are wrong.
