And what do you know now that you wish you had known then? (For those of you who are unfamiliar with the American school system, a senior is typically 17 or 18 years old).

Thanks in advance for your answers, and Happy New Year. : )

My life was full of hope. I could train for anything I wanted with the hope of a good job when I finished school. It was the post WW1 era and the world was getting on it's feet again. The cold war was on and there was fear of Atomic bombs as they were still testing them in central South Australia. Not everyone owned a motor car and not every home had the phone access-able in their own home. We could leave home without locking the house. Hotels closed at 6 pm. There were no drugs except cigarettes and alcohol to speak of. We had the best years of that century to be young and active for making it a better place to live in. sadly I think people have become much more materialistic and selfish and civilisation is much in decline. There are some wonderful young people with hope in their hearts but I think there are more wasters around now than there were in my younger days
