iv noticed when little children cry, they will go to the nearest mirror and watch themselves crying!!! why?

Good question. My little girl does that all the time! In fact, I think she makes herself cry or prolongs a tantrum so she can watch herself.
Don't know whay. I guess it's out of curiosity - she notices that people seem to react whe she does it, so must wonder why and what she looks like?
