Is this type of metal wire compatible with aluminum or will it need the special aluminum to copper twist cap too?

Not sure what type of metal you have in your light because there are different types companies use, but alot of times it is copper but what they will solder the tips of the wires, cut off the tip of the wire and strip off the insulation to see if it is copper below that tip part, if you dont have copper then you can just splice with aluminum no problem if you have copper then you do need the special wirenuts because of the reaction between the copper and alum. wires
