I agree with what most of the others here have already said, especially Thunder's comment about Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Those generational planets create a strong allure when they are in conjunction to other planets within a person's chart, and especially so with a conjunction to the Ascendant. These people somehow seem exciting, powerful and glamorous, and they have a presence about them which can translate to magnetic attraction on a larger level to the general public.
A transit which may act as a catalyst is when one of these generational planets forms a conjunction or other significant aspect with other planets within the chart. In Newman's chart, Pluto is in opposition to his Ascendant. Interestingly, Pluto is now almost conjunct his Ascendant. At the height of his fame and career activity, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were slowly progressing across his midheaven and 10th house.
