It is easier to get all A's. Mom isn't going to flunk her own baby.

The child can only be as smart as the parent teaching. How can someone who has only had 8th grade math teach algebra, trig, geometry?

Socializing is done with other home schooled children and their parents.
The point a lot of people miss with homeschooling is that they associate with other families that home school and believe their beliefs. So when it comes to socializing they are able to social with others that share their views. If and when they child joins the rest of the world, they are in for a rude awakening. Luckily for those children there colleges for home schooled students, so they can continue to be around others with their viewpoints. Not to be rude but it is like a cult, where they all socialize together, marry each other, they are encouraged to stay with in their sect. They are taught either directly or indirectly that the world outside their group is evil and dangerous. So it is best to stick together.

Is homeschooling bad? Not for those that do it, just for those that don't understand the self inflicted isolation from the majority of the world.
