Watching streaming video on dialup?

i'm on my mother's dell. it has windows xp and watching sreaming videos palys then buffers play then buffers until it reaches the end of the video. i was always told there was no way to watch video on dial up like you can on dsl without the buffering.

do any of you know a way around this? would resetting the video accelerator stop that?

Downloading it all first is the only option. Video acceleration won't increase the speed at which your phone lines carry the data. Your computer can process everything fast enough, but the data has to get to it first.
