Bio-dynamic farming sees soil as a living organism. The goal is to create and maintain healthy soil. This is done with manure and compost as basic fertilizers. Rotation crops from nitrogen stealing crops like corn, with nitrogen adders like beans. Also deep crops that bring nutrients up from deep soils, like beets, with shallow rooted crops, like wheat or oats.
This is organic farming.
The distinction is that all "organic" farming is not bio-dynamic. One can use bagged "organic" fertilizer and even "natural" pesticides, and still be classified as Organic, by the agencies that certify crops as organic. These may focus on soil health, but instead providing nutrients to the plants growing, from an outside source.
