Neither. The Hall of Fame has enough problems with players that are members that clearly should not be and viceversa. With Jackson and Rose there is no question that both were outstanding players and from a statistical standpoint belong in the hall. However, the Hall of Fame is much more that just stats. It's about the integrity of the player.

I can tell you first hand that Rose, regardless of his gambling, was not a good guy. He was arrogant and mean spirited. I had several dealing with him and none were very pleasant. He was all about him and not anyone else. Having said this I'm positive that if he had not gambled he would be in the Hall today. As for me, I'm glad he's not.

Joe Jackson, whether people say he took the money or not, was still part of the scandal. We will never get a clear picture of what actually took place. If there is any doubt, and there is, he too should be excluded.
