A national news magazine poll stated that 60% of the American voting population favor decreased military spending by the federal government. Suppose we were to take a random sample of size 20 and found that 14 favored decreased military spending.

(a) Test the claim of the news magazine poll that the population proportion of American people who favor decreased military spending is exactly equal to 60% (i.e. show evidence that it differs from 60%). State the appropriate null and alternative hypotheses, and compute the p-value of the test statistic to draw your conclusion.

(b) Give an interpretation of the p-value you found in part (a)

(c) Find a 92% Confidence Interval for the true proportion of the American voting population who favor decreased military spending by the federal government. Give an interpretation of the interval you find.
