Researchers want to determine the effectiveness of heavy doses of vitamin C on colds. A random sample of 407
individuals took heavy doses of vitamin C and a random sample of 411 individuals took placebos. In the group
who took vitamins, 105 of the participants had no colds throughout the study. In the placebo group, 76 of the
participants had no colds throughout the study. At a 5% significance level, test to see if there is good evidence
that the proportion of individuals who have no colds is higher for those taking heavy doses of vitamin C than
those taking a placebo.
