In a case-control study stomach cancer and exposure to hot sauce, 100 stomach cancer patients in Dhaka Medical College and Hospital were individually matched with 100 persons free of stomach cancer, using age, race, sex and income as the matching variables. Reporting hot sauce use were 65 of the cases and 50 of the controls. Thirty five cases and controls both reported hot sauce use, while 20 cases and controls both reported not using hot sauce.
