Upper bound for proportion confidence interval is + E = 0.877

Where is point estimate of the population proportion and E is margin of error.

Now,

- E = 0.543 and   + E = 0.877

Solve these two equations by adding together,

2 = 0.543 + 0.877

= 0.71

put this value of in equation + E = 0.877 and solve for E

0.71 + E = 0.877

E = 0.167

So,

Point estimate of population proportion = 0.71

Margin of error = 0.167
