NEONANTAL MORTALITY RATE is number of infansts dying before 28 days of their age divided by number of live births multiplied by 100

NEONANTAL MORTALITY RATE = number of infants dying before 28 days of age * 1000 / number of live births

Here 18 babies die within 7 days of birth and 25 died prior to 28 days of age. So number of infats dying before 28 days of age = 18 + 25 = 43

No we need to calculate number of live births

Given there are total 20000 women from conception

out of those 1048 had miscarriages before 20 weeks gestation, an additional 356 had miscarriages before 28 weeks gestation.

So number of live births = 20000 - 1048 - 356

= 18596

Neonantal Mortality rate = 43*1000 / 18596

= 2.312325
