Answer #1

Solution

Given that,

p = 0.42

1 - p = 1-0.42=0.58

n = 275

= p =0.42

=  [p( 1 - p ) / n] = [(0.42*0.58) /275 ] = 0.0298

P( >0.50 ) = 1 - P( < 0.50)

= 1 - P(( - ) / < (0.50 -0.42) / 0.0298)

= 1 - P(z <2.68 )

Using z table

= 1 -0.9963

=0.0037

probability=0.0037
