If I think that students who are in the Cheese club who have a car have a higher GPA than the members of the cheese club who don't have a car and all the students in the other clubs, what statistic will I use to test his hypothesis?

I believe that it should be a multiple regression, but I would like an explanation as to what it is and why, thank you

Scenario I: Your friend is an Applied Mathematics major and you believe that students who have this major have lower social skills than other college students. You get a nationally normed social skills scale (m =15.00= sx = 7.00) and get 100 Applied Mathematics majors to complete it. You obtain the following, M = 13.24, SD = 6.35. Test whether Applied Mathematics majors have lower social skills than other adults. What are the hypotheses for the study? Ho : Null...

Problem 2: I am performing a before and after evaluation on 30 students who have taken a keyboarding class. I want to see if the course improved their words per minute keyed. State the Null and Alternate Hypothesis: The statistic that I would use is: What would my t critical be for this calculation at a 0.10 level of significance? If my t calculated = 1.62, would I reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis?

As of 2012, the proportion of students who use a MacBook as their primary computer is 0.37. You believe that at your university the proportion is actually different from 0.37. The hypotheses for this test are Null Hypothesis: p = 0.37, Alternative Hypothesis: p ≠ 0.37. If you randomly select 29 students in a sample and 13 of them use a MacBook as their primary computer, what is your test statistic and p-value?

I have a hypothesis that Spring Break affects students' stress levels. I use the sign test by measuring students' stress levels before and after Spring Break. I have not completed my study yet, but I know that I will have 12 participants in my study. You can assume Alpha = .05. I think that Spring Break is not the only thing, nor the strongest thing, that will affect stress levels. I think that, in the whole population, the probability of...
