Find area:
between z = 0 and z = -2.01
between z = -2.18 and z = 1.34
between z = .032 and z = 1.92
berween z = -2.42 and z = -1.77

and if you could explain how to actually do these problems i would appreciate it! my professor didnt teach us how do it and i’m so confused

Answer #1

Solution:

Using standard normal table,

between z = 0 and z = -2.01

P( -2.01 < z < 0)

= P(z <0 ) - P(z <-2.01 )

= 0.5000 - 0.0222

= 0.4778

Area = o.4778

between z = -2.18 and z = 1.34

= P(-2.18 < z < 1.34 )

= P(z <1.34 ) - P(z <-2.18 )

= 0.9099 - 0.0146

= 0.8953

Area = 0.8953

between z = .032 and z = 1.92

= P(0.032 < z < 1.92)

= P(z < 1.92 ) - P(z <0.032 )

= 0.9726 - 0.5128

= 0.4598

Area = 0.4598

between z = -2.42 and z = -1.77

= P-2.42( < z < -1.77)

= P(z <-1.77 ) - P(z <-2.42 )

= 0.0384 - 0.0078

= 0.0306

Area = 0.0306
