when two samples are dependent in inferential statistics , it means that one observation is dependent on other .In other words , observation are paired .so in this case we will use dependent or paired t test . The formula is given by

when two samples are independent , and we want to compare the sigificant difference between therse samples then we also use independent sample t test

there are two cases

1 ) when population variance are equal

2 ) when population variance are not equal
