A regression model is run. Shown below is a portion of the ANOVA table. What is the R-squared value for tis model? Enter your answer to 3 decimal places.

ANOVA
df SS
Regression 1 64.496
Residual 18 53.537

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The regression sum of square here is given as: RSS = 64.496 and

therefore the residual sum of squares here is obtained as: SSE = 53.537

Therefore total sum of squares here is computed as: TSS = RSS + SSE = 64.496 + 53.537 = 118.033

The R-squared value for this model is computed here as:

R2 = Proportion of sum of squares of errors explained by regression

R2 = RSS / TSS = 64.496 / 118.033 = 0.54642

Therefore 54.642% that is 0.546 is the required R2 value here.
