Exercise Woodland caribou (Rangifer tarandus caribou) populations are declining throughout their range. Nobert et al. (2016) (reported amongst the 35 monitored does (female caribou) in the Redrock-Prairie Creek range of Kakwa Provincial Park in British Columbia northeast of Prince George that 21 of the does calved. They also reported amongst the 48 monitored does (female caribou) in the Narraway herd northeast of Prince George that 38 of the does calved. (Sec. 8.2)

A) Find a 95% confidence interval for the difference in calving proportions between the Redrock-Prairie Creek and Narraway populations assuming that the does monitored were selected in a simple random sample and that both samples are independent of each other.

B) Does is appear that the does in the Narraway herd are more fecund that the does in the Redrock-Prairie Creek herd? Conduct the appropriate test of significance and discuss your results.
