a coin is tossed 50 times and it lands on heads 28 times. Find the experimental probability and the theoretical probability of the coin landing on heads. Then, compare the experimental and theoretical probabilities

Homework Answers

Answer #1

From the given information,

Experimental probability (EP) is given by,

EP=28/50

EP=0.56

And we know that,

Theoretically, there is 50%-50% chance of getting head and tail when coin is tossed.

Hence, Theoretical probability (TP) is given by,

TP=25/50

TP=0.50

Now, As 0.56>0.50

Hence,

Experimental probability is greater than theoretical probability.
