Two sample/ independent test is used to compare the difference between the average values of the two independent groups in order to determine whether there is statistical evidence that the associated population means are significantly different.

One sample t test cannot be used because in given situation there are two groups.

Paired sample test (depedent sample t test) cannot be used because sample are not depedent and related.
