a. Calculate the rates of prostate cancer deaths separately for i. white males ii. black males b. Construct ONE appropriate chart to represent the statistics using EXCEL.

a.i. number of cancer death among white males= 1247148

Number of deaths of prostate cancer for white males= 119675

Then rate of prostate cancer death for white males

=119675/1247148 = 0.096 = 9.6%

ii. Number of cancer deaths among black males=163787

Number of deaths of prostate cancer for black males=24375

Rate of prostate cancer death for black males

= 24375/163787 = 0.0195 = 1.95%

b. To represent this 2 Rates you should use bar chart .

1st enter the two rates in 2 different cells. Then go to insert menu and choose chart option.from there choose column.
