A total of 1,645 men with newly diagnosed cases of prostate cancer were asked about their use of electronic blankets in 3 states (PA, LA, FL). Of these cases, 881 reported regularly using electric blankets while the remaining never used electric blankets. 1,498 controls were identified by random digit dialing among the same 3 states. 780 controls reported regularly using electric blankets.
