Homework Answers

Answer #1

Baseball team names are NOMINAL data.

We have classification of data on a quantitattive basis as : ordinal and nominal.

Ordinal are those data which are quantified. And those who can't be quantified (on a qualitative ground) are called nominal data.

Examples of ordinal data are : the height of a class of students, their age, their weight, their semester total marks etc.

Example of nominal data are : the nationality of a class of international students, their localities of residence, their food habits etc.
