John runs a computer software store. Yesterday he counted 135 people who walked by the store, 64 of whom came into the store. Of the 64, only 25 bought something in the store. (Round your answers to two decimal places.) (a) Estimate the probability that a person who walks by the store will enter the store. (b) Estimate the probability that a person who walks into the store will buy something. (c) Estimate the probability that a person who walks by the store will come in and buy something. (d) Estimate the probability that a person who comes into the store will buy nothing.
a) probability that a person who walks by the store will enter the store : no of persons who entered store/total number of walked by persons = 64/135 = 0.4740=0.47
b) probability that a person who enters the store will purchase something = person who purchased something/total number of entered persons = 25/64 = 0.3906= 0.39
c) p = number of persons who walked in a nd buy something/ total number of persons walked by the store = 25/135 = 0.1851 =0.19
d) p = number of persons who entered but buy nothing/ total number of persons entered = (64-25)/64 = 0.6093= 0.61
