How might standard deviations be used to establish the adjustability required for rehabilitation equipment?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

If the mean and standard deviation of rehabilitation equipment is known then we can use standard deviations to cover a target population who uses rehabilitation equipment. If the company produces rehabilitation equipment to fit the average user plus or minus one standard deviation then then out would take care of the 68 percent of the target population, and if we increase the value of standard deviation then this percentage will also increase hence standard deviation can be used to establish the adjustability required for rehabilitation equipment.
