2)

Two dice are rolled. Then the sample size n = 36

Let A be an event that the sum of the faces of the dice is 7. Then-

A={ (1,6) , (2,5) , (3,4) , (4,3) , (5,2) , (6,1) }

Hence P (the sum of the faces of the dice is 7) = 6 /36 = 1/6

P (the sum of the faces of the dice is 7) =1 / 6
