Drinky Drinkpop wants to look at the drinking and eating preferences of people in an attempt to create some good combinations of product sales. He looks at three drinks: Coke, Dr. Pepper, and Sprite. He looks at 2 types of snacks: Pretzels and Potato Chips. He finds the probability of each of these as follows:
P(Coke) = 0.40 P(Coke & Potato Chips) = 0.30
P(Dr. Pepper) = 0.35 P(Coke & Pretzels) = 0.10
P(Sprite) = 0.25
P(Pretzels) = 0.45
P(Potato Chips) = 0.55
Calculate the following probability:
P(Coke or Dr. Pepper)
P(coke or Dr pepper) = P(coke) + P(Dr pepper) - P(coke and Dr pepper)
= 0.4 + 0.35 - 0
= 0.75 (ans)
